    The HP Z8 G5 Fury supports one Intel Xeon W-series 4th / 5th Generation (LGA4677) processor for the ultimate performance.

    Hyper-Threading support allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core - recognizing up to 120 total cores, 60 real and 60 virtual. Turbo Boost support automatically boosts the processor speed based on workload - so if an application is only using one of the cores it will automatically increase the speed of the core in use and turn off the unused cores.

    Memory

    The HP Z8 G5 Fury has 16 DIMM Slots supporting up to 2TB of DDR5 4800MT/s ECC Memory. Intel Xeon W-series 4th generation processors have 8 memory channels.

    The HP Z8 G5 Fury has four onboard PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots supporting NVMe SSDs.

    Power Supply

    The HP Z8 G5 Fury has two power supply bays supporting two HP Z8 G5 1125 watt internal power supply units (PSUs) in redundant or aggregate mode. We will enable the appropriate power supply mode in the system BIOS based on your configuration if the dual power supply option is selected.

    Single PSU (1125 watts) is recommended for most configurations and workloads.
    Dual PSUs in Redundant mode (1125 watts total) is recommended for systems running long workloads or stored in remote locations.
    Dual PSUs in Aggregate mode (2250 watts total) is recommended for systems with 2 Geforce GPUs or 3-4 Quadro GPUs.
