    Case

    The Fractal Design Torrent is a modern mid-tower case with open front grill and visible internal layout. Includes 3 140mm front fans, 2 180mm bottom fans, and 1 140mm rear fan for excellent cooling. Dedicated 2 3.5-inch and 4 2.5inch drive bays for large storage capacity. Available in black, gray, and white with a tempered glass side panel. The Fractal Meshify 3 and Fractal North are other modern-style mid-tower cases available with similar specifications as the Torrent.

    Processor

    The Gigabyte MZ33-AR1 motherboard has a single AMD SP5 (LGA 6096) socket supporting one AMD EPYC 9005/9004 series processor, up to 500W TDP.

    Hyper-Threading support allows two threads to run simultaneously on each core - recognizing up to 192 cores and 384 threads. 'Max Boost' support automatically boosts the processor speed based on workload - so if an application is only using one of the cores it will automatically increase the speed of the core in use and turn off the unused cores.

    Memory

    The Gigabyte MZ33-AR1 motherboard has 24 DIMM slots, supporting up to 3TB of DDR5 5200MT/s ECC Registered Memory. AMD EPYC 9005 series processors have 12 memory channels. Occupy all memory channels for optimal performance. Occupy less memory channels if you plan to increase memory in the future.

    The Gigabyte MZ33-AR1 motherboard has 1 PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 slot supporting a NVMe SSD. 4 additional PCIe 4.0 M.2 NVMe SSDs can be added via optional PCIe slot adapters.

    PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs have read/write speeds averaging 6,000MB/s.
