The SuperServer SYS-1028GQ-TRT has 16x DDR4 ECC memory slots (8x per processor) supporting DDR4 ECC 2133MHz and 2400MHz memory. Select up to 8x modules of matching memory per processor. Note that the Xeon E5-2600 processors have 4 memory channels per processor, thus we recommend selecting 4 memory modules per processor to occupy all memory channels for optimal performance. If you have a high memory count, go with 8 memory modules to occupy all the memory slots. We recommend selecting memory in multiples of 4 - occupying 4 DIMM slots and leaving the other 4 DIMM slots available for future upgrade.
